The Oxford
circa 1900
Originating from Oxford England
This trunk traveled from Oxford England to Windsor Nova Scotia sometime in the 1930's. I purchased it at an estate auction in Windsor a few years back while trunk hunting in the east coast. Now it's looking for a new home.
All of the leather is new, that includes the 1 1/4 leather starps, keepers and leather handles. The two roller buckles are original.
This is a large trunk and it was built sturdy to handle heavy loads. The lock does not work anymore but it has been modified to stay in the locked position rather than hang down in the unlocked position.
